Armed with a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling, Brittne Zemanek…soon to be Brittne Lee [southern accent is required when saying her new name] is a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in trauma recovery, panic disorder and EMDR.
Before being relabeled “Z-Mack” by The LifeWorks Group and before receiving her MA degree from TWU, Brittne attended TCU and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2003. During her tenure at Texas Christian University, Brittne dove headfirst into the helping profession. She assisted adopted children and also children who were neglected in orphanages and in need of special care. After college, Brittne got” real world” working experience and managed the office of an investment firm for 5 years. Talk about handling pressure. This all translates into Brittne having the emotional fortitude to manage just about anything you can throw her way. Soft-spoken Brittne is tougher than a Mack truck – hence her LifeWorks nickname Z-Mack.
She works with a variety of issues and populations, specializing in trauma recovery, panic disorder, depression, anxiety, codependency, grief/loss, young adults and adopted children. She is also trained in EMDR – Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing – which is a cutting edge treatment for trauma survivors. Brittne has also taken the role of site director to our Ft. Worth office. If she’s not seeing clients then she’s managing that office and making those cowboys behave…for the most part.
A native Texan, Brittne didn’t wander far from her hometown of Conroe, Texas, where she is better known for her other passion, dancing, which she has been doing since age 3. If she’s not dancing, Brittne is enjoying time with her animals…a black lab who thinks he’s a lap dog and a white cat who thinks he’s a dog. She loves animals and is always on the look-out for an animal to rescue. Rumor is that she reigned in a dingo – a skill that could come in handy when she marries her Australian fiancée.
Brittne charges $100 for a 50 minute session.
