Straight From the Horse's Mouth |
Why A ROPES Course? ROPES is really an ancronym: Reality Oriented Physical Experiential Services. In horse sense, it means people learn best by doing. Tell your counselor every week that your relationship is trusting and collaborative? Maybe the counselor will believe you. But on a ROPES course you have to walk the talk--at elevation too, I might add. Trust isn't one of those rare snipes we have out on the farm that people talk about but never see. It's action: every time someone puts a saddle on me, they trust I won't let them down--literally. So a ROPES course helps people put emotional trust in each other by letting them experience physical trust in challenging situations. Plus it's fun! What LifeWorks Is Listening To These Days Come see the little Dallas band, SORTA, at the Granada Theater this Friday night, August 25, 2006. SORTA was named Best Act In Town by the Dallas Observer. Full of outstanding Dallas musicians, and with the recently added Musician of the Year, Best Instrumentalist Chris Holt, SORTA is always a good bet. GOOD TIMES! |
