Katie Franklin Zuverink is a native Texan, born and raised right here in the Dallas metroplex. Itching for a change after high school, Katie struck out for New Orleans and began her college life at Tulane University in the summer of 2005. One week into po’ boys and margaritas (oh, and she also went to class), Katie was chased back home by Hurricane Katrina. She took this as a sign from the universe that she was destined be a Texan.
During her post-college years, however, she challenged the world order & tangled with a Yankee – whom she later married, thus sacrificing the classic southern last name of Franklin for, um, Zuverink. (We just call her Katie).
Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Texas, where she is currently completing her Masters Degree in Counseling with a specialty in play therapy and the child-parent relationship.
When she’s not trying to avoid slipping into a coma during those last few masters degree classes or saving the world through real-life counseling with kids & families, Katie enjoys trying new restaurants with her hubby and running with her dog Izzy.
We have it on good authority (her cat ratted her out) that her guilty pleasure is cheesy ’90s sitcoms – which is why she named said tabby Mr. Feeny. (The office pool has the over/under at two Saved by the Bell posters).
Katie works in our Dallas office and charges $50 for a 50-minute session
