Natalie Hutson
Student Intern
Natalie was born and raised right here in Dallas, though she wandered all the way down to College Station to be come an Aggie. She graduated from Texas A & M with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and minor in psychology, and she spent her first year after graduation teaching elementary physical education. She loves working with children as well as the many sports she teaches them on a daily basis; however, she has come to the realization that her true passion is counseling.
Natalie believes that with all the wonderful things life has to offer, it also brings with it many trials and tribulations. Her hope is to help people work through these trials so that they may thrive, not just survive. She applies her passion for athletic games to the game of life–what matters the most is not that you always win; it's how you play the game.
Natalie was drawn to counseling through her own experience with an eating disorder. A strong believer that everything happens for a reason, her passion is to help those suffering from these illnesses. She uses a nurturing and authoritative approach to therapy; she provides compassion for her patients as well as the accountability that all people need to grow. Although her passion is eating disorders, she also enjoys working with children, adolescents, and college-aged individuals on the variety of issues they face during these stages of life.
After completing her masters in counseling at Dallas Baptist University, Natalie plans to pursue her doctorate in counseling psychology at Texas A & M Commerce. She loves school and learning, and she believes that people learn throughout their entire lives. Her dream is to one day open a private practice and serve individuals in her community.
