Get to know Katherine
Dallas therapist Katherine Williams specializes in working with individuals, particularly young adults and professionals, navigating anxiety, stress, depression, major life transitions, and trauma & PTSD. She is an EMDR therapist-in-training dedicated to helping clients process and heal from traumatic experiences.
Katherine is passionate about supporting individuals who struggle with low self-esteem, self-worth, or a lack of strong identity. She believes therapy is a collaborative journey and strives to meet clients where they are. In the therapy room, she keeps sessions conversational and empowering to help clients gain clarity, develop healthy coping strategies, and build a stronger sense of self.
With an experienced foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a growing focus on trauma-informed care, Katherine creates an empathetic and supportive environment where clients feel understood while being gently challenged to grow. Her goal is to equip clients with practical tools and insights that foster meaningful, lasting change.
Katherine’s diverse background shapes her ability to connect with clients on a deep level. She began her academic journey at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City before discovering her true calling in counseling, leading her to earn her degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas. She is now completing her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas-Dallas.
Outside of the therapy room, Katherine enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with her twin sister and friends, and hanging out with her blonde dachshund, Romeo.
